Tomato Soup with Green Peppers, Onions, and Melted Cheese

A warm and comforting soup that smells good while cooking. It is a nice meal to have on a cold day, but can also be enjoyed on any day. The flavors of the green peppers, onions, and cheese pair well with the flavor of the soup. The green pepper and onion pieces also provide a nice crunch to this dish.

Pour the soup into a large pot.

  • We used two 32 fl oz containers of Pacific Foods Organic Creamy Tomato Soup (USDA Organic. Gluten Free. 5g of Protein per container. Low Fat. Vegetarian. No Genetically Engineered Ingredients).

Add the frozen bags of chopped onions and green peppers to the soup. Heat on high until warm and stir occasionally.

  • We used two 16 wt oz frozen bags of Giant's brand of Chopped Onions and Peppers.

Add a sprinkle of the shredded cheese on top of the soup once served, or add the cheese into the pot before serving, to preferred amount.

  • We used Sargento Off the Block Fine Cut Shredded Natural Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese (Made with 2% Milk. No Added Growth Hormones. No Artificial Flavors. No Antibiotics).
