Ingredients
If you love sweets, this drink is for you. It is a super sweet treat that is thick and very chocolatey, and an idea for using that extra eggnog. This drink has hints of flavor that taste like a brownie. Decadent and rich may also help to describe this hot chocolate. Optionally try with a squirt or dollop of whipped cream on top.
Directions
Add enough water to a small pot so that it does not touch the bottom of a small glass or Pyrex mixing bowl. Place the bowl in the pot so the rim of the bowl rests on the rim of the pot.
Add the chocolate morsels to the bowl.
- We used Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Morsels (100% Real Chocolate. No Artificial Flavors or Colors. No Preservatives. Gluten Free).
Heat the chocolate morsels on high until they melt.
Add the eggnog to a separate small pot, and heat on medium while the chocolate morsels are melting.
- We used 2 cups of the Maola Local Dairies Eggnog (Farm Owned) 1 quart bottle.
Once the chocolate morsels melt, add them to the pot with the eggnog. Heat on medium and stir until fully emulsified.
Top with a sprinkle of nutmeg.
- We used McCormick Ground Nutmeg (Non GMO).
